Dancer at Rest

Soft pastel on black paper

The performance has ended, but the dancer remains. In an unguarded moment of stillness, the body softens and gives way to rest, while traces of its practiced grace remain. Dancer at Rest finds beauty in the quiet moments between effort and performance.
