Horimono is an artwork that features stunning tattoo art on an asian woman.
It fascinated me because the art design is so similar to the maori "ta moko" work we have in New Zealand.
In NZ the tattoo is an accepted part of the culture, but through Asia the tattoos are taboo. This photographic series gave some visibility and respect to the women who choose to tell stories with their bodies.
